Subsea Installation Engineer
Offshore Engineer
Structural Engineer

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in the following industries:

Offshore cable Laying / pipe laying
Offshore heavy lifting
Offshore steel structures

It will be partly office job / partly on the project site. Depending on company of choice you will contribute to various projects. The scale of the project and responsibilities will increase along with your experience.

Basic requirements:
- High technical education
- Minimum of three years relevant experience
- Familiar with class requirements, IMO codes
- Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent analytical and pragmatic skills

For their Engineering Department they are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer/ Project Manager New Build

Qualifications
A technical bachelor (HBO) or university degree IN Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Technology or equivalent
At least 5 - 7 years of working experience in an offshore environment (Oil & Gas/ Cable industry).
Thorough knowledge of standards and regulations in the offshore transport and installation projects.
Good communication skills
A good knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken)
Knowhow of Word and Excel

Tasks (Project Manager New Build)

Ensure that the equipment packages are managed, designed, fabricated, installed, tested and transported to site and meet requirements
Ensure project safety and quality perFormance
Identify and timely communicate changes and deviations from the original bid with the Project Manager and recommend course of action for own packages
Monitor detail design and engineering for own packages
Review vendors’ and subcontractors’ qualification, verification, inspection and testing plans
Discuss technical requirements and quality issues with vendors and subcontractors in accordance with contractual requirements
Attend factory acceptance testing, inspection, construction and installation activities
Check availability, status, completion and correctness of required goods, services and Documents
Expedite actual progress with vendors and subcontractors
Prepare monthly progress reports for the Project Manager
Tasks (Senior Project Engineer)
Supporting the Project Manager on technical & operational area.
Leading the (project) engineering team for multidisciplinary, large, complex internal and external projects
You will be responsible for drafting, translating and developing the Schedule of Requirements (SoR) to an optimal economic and technical design.
Assisting the tender department during the tender fase of a project with technical queries.
You are well inFormed about the contract agreements with the customer and you know the project management procedures and rules of VSMC
You will take these into account in carrying out your duties and Documenting project inFormation
